A visual odyssey, behind the design of GAC’s Enpulse concept car.
GAC Design came to Plural for a special, behind-the-scenes design documentary for the launch of their concept car, Enpulse, prior to the 2020 Beijing Motor Show. The :60 minute feature highlighted not only the Enpulse vehicle itself but also the design thinking and creative engineering that went into its development.
As technology continues to advance, so does the way we engage with it. A large part of the GAC project was about demonstrating how designers work and exploring the process of invention.
Contrary to popular belief, an impactful car campaign is not always about quick cuts and camera movement. In addition to Enpulse footage, individual interviews, and close-up design renderings, a key element of the GAC documentary was capturing the human element of group innovation. We achieved this by filming MultiCam discussions and inviting the audience to experience what it’s like to be a part of the group and process.
